Mel's Diner - Fort Myers

We were on vacation and wanted to try something local.
My husband ordered waffles. He said they were crisp on outside and just right in the center. One of the best he’s had. He’s 68 so he’s ate a few. Bacon , hash browns were cooked to my request. My son doesn’t like his as crisp so he received his the way he likes them. Waitress was wonderful.
A great breakfast and wonderful staff. Highly recommend this place.

I come here at least 3 times a week! Might as well be a 5 star Gordon Ramsey restaurant! Amazing food! Nice staff! So fresh and so clean!!

Mel's is a very wonderful Diner. The staff is great and it's very friendly. It is very clean the restrooms are nice. The service was excellent I would recommend anybody to go there the food is great. Have a great breakfast at Mel's!!

We were down in Fort Meyers for a wedding for several days, and stayed on the 41 near this Diner called Mel's. Went for the breakfast and it was outstanding. My wife raved about the eggs with chicken fried steak. She emphasized the gravy was authentic, and the steak was huge. My meat lovers omelet was everything I hoped it would be. It was so good we came back for breakfast the next day. The steak and eggs (and Mel's potatoes) was the best deal I think I ever had considering the quality and size of the steak I got for the $12.99. It was soon a Monday night and we were looking for steak, and decided what the heck, lets try Mel's Prime Rib. Who offers Prime Rib on a Monday night anyway? Well, Mel's was great and priced just right. Tomorrow we will be heading back north but not before we stop at Mel's for one more breakfast. I also have to mention the wait staff. Every one of them made me feel welcomed as if into their own home for a holiday family dinner. Down to earth, and experienced, among the best I have had in the last 500 times I have been out to eat.
