This family owned spot is somehow both coll and contemporary as well as family oriented and completely unpretentious. The pizza was HUGE and so delicious! We all enjoyed the meatball appetizer but I do wish the garlic knots whould have been softer. All in all, I was VERY IMPRESSED and the strawberry bread pudding was inspiring!
Wow, all the reviews speak for themselves. I'm not sure why it took us so long to try this place - we live just down the street! Our daughter had them cater a family dinner and OH MY GOSH, it was FANTASTIC!!! Savory and flavorful. My husband and I ended up getting take out on our next date night and once again, it was delicious. I highly recommend!
I am at the Saucy meatball quite often. Too much food for such a low price. I can't even finish when I get most times. I am a Saucier, so I know a good sauce. You can tell this place makes fresh sauce everyday. The atmosphere is friendly and not overbearing as most finer dining restaurants. Casual dining With A Touch of Elegance. The food is fresh and comes out quickly. The pizza I saw going by to other tables, where so big, the pizza tray didn't seem big enough oh, and the server said those are hours normal size pizza pie. I highly recommend the Saucy meatball, I've told my friends and they have agreed with me when they go. If you can finish a Sals favorite, with a meatball, or the house favourite, you're a better man than I. It's humongous and I never leave there ever, hungry or dissatisfied.
We stopped by while on vacation in Ft. Myers back in April, and this turned out to be our favorite place to eat. The wait was pretty long due to the volume of people there, which was no problem at all. The bartender actually was the one who helped us out on the back patio, and I'm glad he did. He was awesome. He introduced himself, and was very personable our entire visit. The food was fantastic as well.
