The Standard at Sabal Springs

I cannot recommend The Standars at Sabal.

Early on a Friday evening I ordered a Mojito from the cocktail menu to start. Unfortunately, the club soda was completely flat. I am certain the Bartender, who was friendly and attentive would have made it right had I let her know.

For my snack I ordered Buffalo chicken egg rolls and the barkeep ventured only a couple steps away before letting me know she would need to check if they had them.

She returned with the sad news that they were out but, they did have Reuben egg rolls which I then ordered. They arrived promptly, attractively arranged atop a bit of wilted lettuce. A few bites revealed the kitchen was also, evidently, out of Swiss cheese; smallish and heavy on Sauerkaut the rolls were a poor value at $12.

I will give this place one more try in a couple months when the weather makes the patio more hospitable and hope that they will have hit thier stride by that time.

My friend and I had lunch today at this restaurant. We had an excellent dining experience with a fantastic meal and our lovely server Bella. I had the Buffalo Chicken Salad and my friend had the Summer Salad. We both agreed the ingredients were very fresh and the salad combinations had the perfect amount of some out of ordinary ingredients such as, luscious dried cherries, perfectly cut celery, and specialty blue cheese crumbles. The Blue Cheese dressing was some of the best I have eaten. My Friend loved her dressing on her salad too. Fresh iced tea as well. We had not planned to have dessert but Bella suggested a piece of their homemade Butterscotch Cheesecake. We were glad she did, it was divine! We can both recommend this particular location of The Standard. We suggest you give it a try.
