Authentic! Just the right balance between the taste of the food and a friendly atmosphere. Our neighborhood is fortunate to have 509 Caribbean restaurant in our area 💯%. Will continue to support this establishment!!

I really want to leave this place a higher rating. The food is Tasty! And this is one of the only opportunities to experience Haitian cuisine in the area. Its the overall experience getting the food that’s the issue.

1. It seems every time I want to give 509 a chance they don’t have the dish I want to order or they ran out.

2. The wait time is Excessive. To get around this on my last visit, I placed an order for pick up AN HOUR before I was in the area and that’s about how long it took before it was ready.

3. Im also trying to figure out who are the customers they are targeting with the small serving of rice that comes standard with the meal? Traditionally, Haitian/Caribbean food comes with a much larger serving of rice.

Overall, their inconsistency just poses too many inconveniences to the overall customer service experience. I look forward to an opportunity to updating this review with better experiences at 509. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Omg the food was amazing!! It was my first time in there, and I must say the oxtails was amazing! The gentleman that helped me at the register had great customer service skills. The Mac and cheese was different and that was a great. I loved the fact that it was made different then normal, it stood out from different Mac and cheese from other places I've had before. All the seasoning and spices came together great. Hands down to the chef👍. This will be a must that I go back and I will bring family and friends so that they can help spread the word. Thank you for the true meaning of great cultural food!
