I went here with some coworkers while we were staying in town to support hurricane recovery. The food was good and enjoyed by everyone. The problem was the server. He pressured us to order before all our guests arrived. Once we ordered he didn't bring the drinks ordered by a couple of my coworkers, even when reminded about it. We were never given refills on any drink, even water, even when a decanter was taken to refill an adjacent table. Finally it took over an hour and a half after everyone was done with their meal for us to get our checks.

We very much enjoyed dinner at Essence of India. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the servers were very friendly and helpful. We tried two of their soups, two entrees and a dessert (all pictured) and each dish was deliciously flavored with the perfect amount of spice. My only regret is visiting sooner!

I love the food and the vibes here! This is also a vegetarian-friendly place with so many tasty veggie dishes. I enjoyed the Aloo Mutter so much. The curry smelled like heaven and was so smooth and flavorful. I tried their mango Lassi and it was just PERFECT!

Food was good. Had the chicken tikka masala with rice and Pita bread. I got the Spiciest 🌶 even tho the server said spicy-lovers sometimes can’t handle it, but it wasn’t as spicy as I thought 😈. Have only been once and preferred take out once. Would like to still go more often.

I love this place, I been coming here for years! anything Biryani is my go to! Goat curry is also on of my favorite. So great definitely give it a try. If you are feeling wild I recommended getting your food spicy! You will experience it twice!!!
