Ample parking space and a the restaurant is situated in a great centralized location. There is a lively atmosphere and as soon as you step into the restaurant their large collection of culinary awards are on display. All of which are well deserved and hard earned. The ambiance and wait staff are very pleasant. Diverse selection on the menu and it is easy to choose a suitable meal. The food was delicious and served promptly. Would definitely recommend.
The Cuban sandwich is a subtantial almost perfect rendition of a traditional Cuban sandwich. This is still a magnificent flavor bomb that heartily satiates with the combination of consistencies. It's a southern smoked pork stacked with the perfect sweet ham that is used and it is delicious but would need to be a mojo to bring it closer to the traditional. The bread is also perfect for sweet and chewy with a crisp on the outer edge. Don't know if it's Cuban bread but still excellent. And this was after a 20 minute ride bringing those back home. I'll include a picture next time we pick them up.
Sage is my go to Brunch spot in Tallahassee. I am there almost every Sunday that’s just how good this place is... I have been going for the past two years and it has only gotten better and better. The food is fantastic and the service is out of this world! Mackenzie, Alex, and Lizzie are all extremely kind and excellent servers! Sage always has something for everyone on their menu and it changes every few months. They have daily soup, quiche, and featured entree. Their desserts are also always a great way to finish off the meal!
What a great meal! Based on the recommendations of friends I had high hopes for our meal at Sage. No surprise, it was an exceptional experience that exceeded my high expectations. We enjoyed three appetizers and three entrees, all of which were fantastic. In addition the wine list is well composed and offers something for everyone. If the weather is nice ask for a patio table, you will not be disappointed.
This place is definitely a first date experience reservation should be used. Service is prompt and menu is very simple in choices. I would recommend to try it as it comes for the experience. I had the shrimp and scallop jambalaya, and it was really good. I requested the green tomato chow chow on the side, but later added to the food. The portion size is good. My husband had the glazed walnut salmon which was also great. I had the homemade cookie for dessert, and it was big and wonderful.
