The Blu Halo

A friend and I reserved a table for brunch today, and I would have to say that I am “half and half” on the experience. The drinks and brunch items were very good and came out in a timely manner. However, the service was sketchy and very disruptive as the server constantly came by interrupting our conversation with trying to take things away with which we were not finished and a various assortment of other disturbances, including rushing me for the check. After I paid the check that had everything on it that we ordered, he came back a few minutes later with a much higher bill saying that one was in fact mine and asked for my credit card again. I asked that he hold on so that I could look at the itemized bill again that I had in my purse, and again I found it to be accurate. He then offered something up like, “I’m not sure what’s going on…” To have our experience punctuated with that was pretty awkward. Consequently, the reason for my review is to warn potential patrons to beware of whatever this was that the server was trying to do and hopefully if a manager reads these reviews, he/she will instruct the servers on manners. This is a pretty high end establishment, and it just didn’t feel like it with the constant interruptions.

A little upscale casual and great atmosphere. They have drink specials so if you like to relax midweek plan accordingly. Don’t always rely on online menu as there is open special fare. There is indoor and outdoor dining with indoor casual relaxed and indoor with a cool blu (sorry) atmosphere. Don’t let this restaurant go by without checking it out. Unique as in unique enjoyable. Just have to note Mary as all staff are awesome.

Finally!!! A new place to spend time with friends and enjoy fresh healthy food and a wonderful happy hour. Mike at the bar was great. Tate the manager was amazing as well. We ordered from the happy hour menu and had drinks and fantastic food for half of what we pay downtown.

My husband and I chose this place for date night a few weeks ago, and it truly lived up to all the hype. We got the Scallop appetizer and it was hands down the most delicious Scallop dish I’ve ever had. I was very happy with the wine selection. The service was great!
