Blackwater Grill & Bar

Enjoyed very much,will go back and check this place out some more. Had shrimp for lunch, but plan on going back and check out the fish menu. I really like the fact that it's out off the beaten path, great place to eat, kick back , relax and enjoy. Very nice, casual and on the river.

My experience at the Blackwater Grill and Bar was really wonderful. The owners love kids and treated us like family when we walked in. We had a indoor table over looking the River. Thanks again for your hospitality ????

Oh my God. Used to be the Isaac Walton Lodge in Yankeetown, re-opened as Blackwater Grille. No connection to same name on St John's River on SR40. Ambience, service and food are first class. Black linen blouse es and matching slacks on waitstaff. Beautiful view of River from most tables. $30 River cruises from their dock. Lunch slightly pricey, but generous portions make it a fair value. One half pound of blackened shrimp, candied carrots and a mound of fresh shredded Cole slaw was superb. I almost didn't write this review, because we don't want everyone to know. Call ahead to see if you need a reservation.

We just love this place. The view of the water is superb and the food is spot on. If you love steak they have the best around. Hubby had lamb chops and they give you plenty and perfectly done. If you have the time it is so worth the drive.
