Theresa's Restaurant

Was driving through the area and wanted to find a mom and pop style restaurant. This place popped up so I gave it a try. I waited about 5-7 minutes before someone took my order. I was told the burger meat was pattied in house so I went with that. Burger was edible, but dry, thin and flavorless. If it was made it house it must have been frozen after being pattied. Service was mediocre, but super friendly. Some other plates coming out of the kitchen looked pretty good. I’d go back but not for the burger.

Passing through and found the restaurant on Google. Pleasantly surprised! Cute atmosphere and the food was good.

Theresa's Restaurant is a little light yellow breakfast, brunch, lunch spot where you can get b'fast the whole time they are open (I love that!). Been there several times, it's right on the edge of downtown, so centrally located for my friends when we get together for lunch.
Two things stand out to me. The food is very good, when you get a BLT on white toast the tomato is red, juicy and ripe, the lettuce is crisp and the bacon is fresh cooked, crisp and sticks out the sides, as in plentiful!
Yummy! A BLT is one of the things I order to see how much attention is paid to the simple things. It's amazing how many places can mess them up. I was there with six other women and everyone was happy.
The other thing that is very very nice is the service. We had a young man yesterday and he was very pleasant and accommodating. He could see we were there for visiting with each other as well as for lunch and he was just perfect, when we needed him he was right there and he never made us feel rushed. Last time I was served with a perfect light touch like that was at a very upscale restaurant in Philadelphia, years ago.
While we were there I heard a man come in who said his breakfast was so good yesterday that he had to come back again.

Had a simple breakfast that was cooked perfectly. The bacon was thick and cooked just to a crisp, the over easy eggs were exactly right and the home fries were real potatoes that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. That plus a decent cup of coffee, attentive service and reasonable prices made for a pleasant meal.
