Poppo's Taqueria

Wow! The flavor was great, the portions are very large (come hungry!) and the service is quit fast. Can not wait to go back!

I really appreciate that Poppo's staff is knowledgeable about what VEGANS eat. They know what is vegan and what is not, and I really appreciate that. I usually get the small bowl and it's delicious every time as I get to select what goes in it! Thanks Poppo's for being vegan friendly!

I want to love this place - but the three times I have tried it were not up to par - greasy or overcooked stuff, didn't hold together, etc. We are vegetarians and cooks so we know our food. I'll try it again - maybe the new locations have standardized a better setup. In general, (most) restaurants in the Sarasota area are not up to "foodie" standards, so perhaps the run-of-the-mill customer is happy. Our standard is that their stuff should be as good as us preparing a simple Mexican meal at home.

Really delicious food - you can get a burrito or bowl. They have fun ingredients for example, like pickled onions, pickled cabbage, or arugula. Their food tastes fresh and is delicious. They have a rewards program for when you get burritos (not sure why it doesn't include their bowls, since they are the same cost). They have interesting drink options like organic ginger soda made with real sugar cane and no high fructose syrup. Love this place!
