Avocado's Cocina Mexicana & Bar

This is our second time here, ( we try to write reviews after more then one experience) and it did not disappoint. Sat at the bar, forgot the bartenders name, but probably the most polite man in the world. The prices are ridiculously good for the quality and amount of food you get. Of course, you get the complimentary chips and salsa, which was great. We got 3 , 3 combo meals, with tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas. All can with rice and re fried beans in some very delicious pastry type bowls. The food was fast, hot and delicious. The whole check, including soft drinks and beers came to 60. That's very good for 3 big meals and drinks.

This review is outdated due to this being the DAY THEY OPEN. They were working out their ways during this time of the review so I WILL NOT have the review reflect their way of service. Now with that out of the way

The chicken fajita was really good and yes they do offer CORN and FLOUR tortillas. The Chips and Dip were GREAT and they gave us seconds on that as well. The dips actually tasted like they made it with care and didn't try to water it down to have it spread at the time of this review. Now for my food this was a complete different story my tamales didn't taste fresh at all, the burrito was okay as well but didn't have much for filling and my cheap but not cheap taco tasted like a taco bell Taco but at 3 times the amount more and not as tasty. Their dessert we had was a flan cake. This item is NOT house made. You can taste its pre made and frozen. Very disappointing for what the establishment is trying to be. If I were them I would actually go out and have someone learn a home made recipe of the Flan and tamales. Then put this into their restaurant. I have seen this place bring a crowd which is good but I don't not believe the food is 100% there yet at the time of the review.

My recommendation isn't there yet for this place but I also wouldn't say not go. I'm in the middle. I hope you enjoy it though and look forward to what you all have to say about your experience.

The best guacamole around! This location set up is simple and beautiful. The restaurant have a bar for those who prefer a more "thank god is Friday" experience. There is enough tables and parking spots. The food served is delicious! We already tried many of the choices on the menu. So far has been excellent. They have also a good selection for children; just for them. Beer, Margaritas and other alcoholic beverages are available. The servers are polite and friendly.

We visited with my mom to try something new and I have to say it’s probably one of the better Mexican places in the area at the moment! The flavors of everything we got was great and well seasoned - we tried the chimichanga, nachos, poblano pepper, and the enchiladas. Margaritas were also great and our server was wonderful.

The only thing they could work on is the hostess figuring out timing for tables. There were multiple boots available when we got there but was told it would be a wait of 15 minutes, but ended up waiting about 2 min. We’ve come before and were told 1 hour and decided to leave and I think this could make the place loose customers.

Hungry for Mexican and this was a short drive from the house we were staying at.... The lobby was clean as were the restrooms. The host staff was warm and friendly! Called ahead to let them know a 11 person table was on the way.
The cost was reasonable and the food was piping hot. I had a chicken breast covered with queso, grilled onions (Pollo borracho) definitely delicious - it hit the spot....Its in a pretty good location and I will return when in the need of hunger. Thank you for being patient as our family of 11 ordered from the menu and took our time before deciding and for getting the kids plate out fast so TASTY!!!

The appetizer of cheese dip and queso fundido went well... yummmo

Everyone else complimented the food choices they made!
