Loved Naughty Monk and loving Big Top! Phenomenal beer selection, incredible artwork (looking at you, Naughty Monk brew posters), and plenty of sours! Had a Big Top with notes of marshmallow and raspberry, hands down one of the best I've ever had. You can smell the marshmallow, but it's not sickly sweet like the puffs. Instead, they really captured the flavor of marshmallows on the front, with tart raspberry cutting through on the back. If it's there while you are and you're craving something different- don't hesitate. Ask for the marshmallow raspberry.
We went last night to Big Top Brewers Collective in Bradenton. It was formerly the Naughty Monk. We attended a friends party, and they had reserved 2 long picnic style tables inside near the stage. The service was excellent. Personally i am not a beer drinker, however they had wine and seltzer’s. They actually had a Magner’s Pear cider which is from Ireland (called Bulmers there) so I had a glass of that. Bubbaques has a permanent food truck there right outside the door. Our host had ordered catering from there and they set it up on one of the picnic tables. We had pulled pork sandwiches, beans, mac and cheese! It was very tasty. The people who worked there were very attentive. There was also music on the little stage to add the atmosphere, very enjoyable…
The Naughty Monk is a local Lakewood Ranch brewery. They have a wide variety of craft beers that were good but not great. We tried several. They have limited food options. The band was quite good as the bartenders helpful and quick to serve.
Ordered 2 small flights, all pretty tasty. Food service is not exactly part of this establishment - you order at a kiosk inside, then go outside to a food truck to pick up your food, then bring it back inside. Better than nothing but need to be in the right mood for that much effort, Haha! Nice place to have a beer or 2.
