Woody's River Roo Pub & Grill

Fun bar and restaurant. Moderate prices with live music. Great food, I love their shrimp tacos. Nice venue on the water. The music is super loud at the first row of tables closest to the stage so try to get one further back.

Great band Rebel Heart! Great atmosphere. Good mission of people dancing and people relaxing. Great variety of age groups. Food and drinks are affordable and delicious. Small parking issue but other than that totally will be back again and again. Small side note... waitress messed something up and diligently apologized and offered a free drink to settle it. I did not take her up on her offer...but knowing that my issue was acknowledged and appropriately escalated and then q gift ti keep me happy. A++

I really enjoy this spot. But beware SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE! You have to find a table yourself. So, it gets competitive and awkward. People will wait by your table when they see the check book out. So, even though you may of wanted to relax and let your meal settle you feel rushed. Had to ask for water about 5 times before it was finally served to us. BUT! The food was yummy and cooked just right. Even the coleslaw was perfect. Live music was nice, even if you couldn't see the band playing. If you're wanting a fun experience and good food, I'd recommend Woody's any day. But if you're looking for organized seating and timely service, avoid it.

Beautiful place, great view. Prices where reasonable. I had the Cuban sandwich and fries, my wife had grouper nuggets and fries. Only complaint was her nuggets and both of our fries where cold. It's like they where sitting waiting on my Cuban cause my Cuban was warm. The grouper nuggets where good though lightly battered and fried. Just would have been great if they where hot. We drove 35 miles to try it out. Probably will give it another shot just cause the place is so cool and beautiful view.

This year I've decided that once a week I'm going to try a new restaurant. So I went to the people of Ruskin, Florida and wanted to hear what they had to say.

After a few days the good folks of Ruskin gave me dozens of different places to visit. I've been to a handful of the ones they mentioned but one stood out. That one being Woody's River Roo.

After visiting the website I decided that this would be my first of many restaurants I will discover this year for the first time.

I tell you I was not disappointed in the experience I had. Let's start off by saying it was a cloudy day, so it was cool outside, around 70 degrees, which to me is perfect since I'm originally from Ohio.

Our server, Jon H., is nice and insightful when it came to the menu. He took our order and brought us our drinks and food at a timely manner, hard to get at some places.

We ordered the Tater Bomb as an appetizer (which I will have pictured).

For lunch I order Woody's Philly, my mother ordered the fish and chips, & my father ordered the grouper basket. The sandwich and the fish were really delicious.

While we were eating we got to listen to a wonderful trio called 3's Company. I'll add a video I took of them. If you get a chance you need to see them in concert.

I'll make the rest of this short. Woody's is on the river so you can dine right on the river's edge and enjoy live music when they have it.

Great place to go and I'm sure I'll be going again.
