Demi's NOODLE HOUSE

Been coming here since they opened and it was always good, loved the level 3 spicy lemongrass soup. However, the past couple of times I have come here in the last 6 months or so it has been not good - broth is very oily, forming crusty layers on the surface of the soup and thw to go cup, and flavor is bland. I don't know if you changed the recipe or got a new chef who isn't doing things as they should but something went wonky. I used to come every week, however unless they change it I won't be coming here unless family or friends wants to go.

Demi's spicy lemongrass soup with chicken was soo good. She makes everything from scratch. Made to order. Been here a handful of times always delicious!

Service was good. Serving portions small and not generous with ingredients. Even my wife who always takes half her food home left hungry. Good for tapas and socializing but don't bother if you are hungry. For $50 I should not be walking out hungry from a pho shop.

The food is very fresh and somewhat tasty but doesn't taste authentic to me. Maybe it is where it is located but I've had a lot of vietnamese and this just doesn't taste authentic to me. Also the portions are very small. It is a cute quaint little place but if you want truly traditional, you may have to venture elsewhere.

Decided to try Demi's based on reviews and cuisine.... and no regrets. The food and service was enjoyable and the owner is present and engaged ensuring a great experience. I loved the variety on the menu and will be back to try other dishes. The ambience is quaint and comfortable and no doubt this is a neighborhood gem! Ended the meal with a home-made mango ice cream which was a generous serving and perfect!
