Stumpknockers Restaurant

Snow crab legs were amazing! The service was great! We loved it. Drove an hour and a half to eat here so worth the drive!

I called ahead this afternoon for a 6 o'clock reservation for Jay. The greeter (an older lady with glasses and no teeth) was rude on the phone and even worse when we walked in the door. (Maybe washing dishes or taking out the trash would be a more suitable position for her.) I was tempted to leave and take my family elsewhere but we overlooked her attitude and stayed anyway. Our waitress was friendly and the kitchen staff did great. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. This could've been a 5 star experience but when I plan to spend $140 on dinner we should be greeted with respect and a friendly smile.

We had a wonderful seafood dinner last Wednesday at Stumpknockers on the River. Fried grouper, fried catfish, shrimp, coleslaw, fries, hushpuppies, crab cake, cold beer, and homemade peanut butter pie!!! Great service from Linda as well!! The rustic setting takes you back to Old Florida. Very enjoyable experience!!

Can recommend Catfish Dinner. Service was good, environment noisy, but Stumpknockers is popular. Apparently reservations might be appropriate. Arrived a little before 5, after golf at Spruce Creek Preserve, Hostess asked if we had reservation. Good luck and enjoy if you are able.
