GG's Heavenly Soul Food

You HAVE to try this place. You walk into one of the most clean and comfortable local restaurants in Ocala when you walk in these doors. I was immediately greeted with huge smiles by some of the sweetest ladies ever, right before I was handed the to go order I had made just minutes before over the phone. I actually didn't want to take it to go once I got there because the environment was so warm and welcoming! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. They even put in the effort to wrap my corn bread separately so it was warm when I finally got to bite into it (that was delicious, by the way). I can't wait to come back and bring my husband! This place was great.

Yummy food. Green beans were really especially good - true Southern food.

The fried catfish is SO awesome! Fried pork ribs anyone? Go for it!
The slaw, baked beans, macNcheese and the fried okra.... All incredible.
The sweet tea is sweet and fresh.
The folks there are warm, friendly, comforting and laughing...this is a very good vibing place!!

Attention North Central Florida and beyond. This is the best soul food restaurant in the area! The food is hot fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and the family that owns the place is so sweet and friendly. I highly recommend the SMOTHERED RIBS AND MACARONI AND CHEESE OMGoodness!!! Best lunch ever get there you will never be disappointed!

Excellent breakfast. Staff made us feel like we were at grandma's house. Very reasonable prices and good portions.
