Yamato Japanese Steak House

Love coming here for birthday parties and group events. The cooks are pleasant and entertaining. Food is always amazing.

Went on my birthday so it was buy one entree get one of the equal or lesser value. The experience was awesome, and the prices were normal for Hibachi. The only thing I have to say, is I turn 26 and I'm 5 feet tall exactly.. I had to get a booster seat to reach the Hibachi counter. To be honest, I wasn't upset about it I thought it was quite hilarious and i kind of liked it haha

The food is fabulous. The only issue is that I have a seafood allergy and the waiter came out and asked EVERYONE ELSE at the table if it was okay that they eat their seafood last due to "someone" at the table which they all clearly know who. I've never been handled that way for having an allergy I found it very odd and super weird feeling to be in the spotlight. What if they would've said they weren't okay with eating last? Then what?

Everything was great until we needed drink refills but our server disappeared and we went without. When our meal was over we waited another 30 minutes for our check until I hunted down a manager so we could cash out. Other than poor service the meal and the chef was excellent!

First let me say ..... I'm a Thai food fan but followed by Chinese if i cannot find Thai. I've never once been a Japanese foodie.
Today for a fiends birthday we all ended up at Yamato at his request.
Hesitantly I found a few items on the menu i thought may be something safe with taste.
To my surprise everything everyone ordered was outstanding!
We will be back.
