Conchy Joe's Seafood

First time being there, went right when they open. They had a pretty rustic feel to the place. The outside looks like the place is small and dinky but when you get inside it's a nice quaint seafood restaurant. They have tables outside where you can sit by the water which is nice. Their prices are high but the amount of food that you get makes it worth it. They give you cornbread and banana bread when they sit you down. They have very good oysters, calamari and conch fritters. Everything that came to the table came out hot. The only problem I had was with my entree. I had gotten the Bahamian crack conch and if anyone have ever been to the Bahamas you would know immediately that it was anything but Bahamian. It came out look like chicken tenders or fish sticks and had a bunch of breading on it. On top of that it wasn't seasoned too well and was a bit chewy other than that everything was fine. They had very good hospitality.

Great food! Good service! Awesome view! Fun music. The hostesses could be more cheerful. They acted like they didn't want to work there (teenagers), no greeting or much other communication. Reservations would be great to beat the wait for bigger parties.

Came for the first time on a Saturday evening. Place was busy but we were seated quickly once a large party ahead of us was sat. Sever was good and very helpful with selection recommendations. Unfortunately, the food was okay. I was really super excited when it arrived but it was prettier than it tasted. Great views of the water but probably will not return.

First and foremost Nicole was the sweetest server!!! Very attentive without being overbearing at all she made recommendations and I went with the conch stuffed shrimp as she had recommended, i was alone for dinner which no one batted an eye or looked judgmental, no one rushed me out either which was greatly appreciated. I also had the conch chowder which was fantastic! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the dishes were on the pricey side but I guess for the location, the view and the atmosphere it is all worth it! I will certainly return on my next trip. We have been coming here for years, but we were disappointed last night. The quality of the food has declined. The fried shrimp were frozen variety and for price and location, we expect fresh. The fish was good, but very pricey for what you get. The baked potato was cold and one of the meals was forgotten and had to be made while others ate. The atmosphere is good, but for price, quality of food and service needs to improve.
