Wonderful in many ways...all the interior spaces lead you to believe you're on a luxurious vessel. Outside spaces are beautiful and continue with the nautical theme. A very comfortable place to visit. Menu selections were outstanding and the food was simply amazing. Terrific service. Definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to go back!
We were excited to try the new restaurant and it exceeded our expectations! The inside decor is beautiful, and the outdoor patio was very comfortable. We started with the oysters Rockefeller and loved them. Already planning to go back to order them again! We had the scallops and prime rib for dinner and both were outstanding. We loved our drinks, the food, and our server Valencia was fantastic guiding us through the new menu. Great addition to the area. Can’t wait to go back!
I know Stringers has just opened so I am trying to be considerate. But we were a bit disappointed with our dinner there. We got grilled oysters -- something new to us -- but the oysters were totally overpowered by a spicy sauce and a thick breadcrumb coating. Maybe others will like it but I couldn't taste the oysters.
Next two of us got Caesar salads and we did not like them. The salad was maybe "deconstructed" -- instead of chopped lettuce with shredded cheese and croutons we were served a solid head of Romaine lettuce with some sort of cheese crisp and one or two big chunks of bread. The dressing was very bland and did not reach much of the lettuce. Carving up the lettuce was a chore, and it was hard to shatter the cheese crisp over the whole thing. Give me traditional Caesar over this please. Mine also had a thin piece of blackened Mahi on it that was OK but hardly outstanding.
Other people at the table got cauliflower 'steaks" that were tasty but maybe not quite cooked enough and scallops that were fine. Service was cheerful if slow and the decor is fun and attractive.
So a bit of a miss but we'll try it again after it's been in business a bit longer and worked out the kinks.
