The best vibe I’ve experienced in a food court setting! Jamaican jams definitely enhance the experience, even people walking by start dancing when they hear the music.
The friendly staff walked us through the menu and loaded our bowls up with TONS of awesome Jamaican classics. Beans and Rice, Plantains, Jerk Chicken & Shrimp, Pepper Steak, Oxtails, you name it. Super fresh and flavorful!
I would HIGHLY recommend Jrk! to anyone wanting authentic Jamaican cuisine!
This is the best Jamaican food that I have ever had. This place does the classics so well that I ended up eating lunch there, then taking a dinner plate to go. The staff is also incredibly friendly. The jerk chicken was juicy, infused with Jamaican flavors, and to die for! I also had the rice and peas with half a salad for my base. So flavorful! This place doesn't take shortcuts. The yuca sticks were perfectly fried - warm and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The items that I took to go were the beef and chicken patties and pineapple plantains with a side of pineapple mango salad. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and dinner! I wish that there were in my hometown.
Some of the best Jamaican food I've had in Miami and I've lived here my entire and tasted many food from Jamaican cuisines. I got rice and peas with jerk chicken and shrimp. and boyyyyyyy are they generous with the portions I got like 12 pieces of shrimp and two huge pieces of chicken enough to feed two people . It tasted so good and of course ill be back . The owners are also amazing really sweet, makes you want to go back just for them . I love this place 10/10
The owner is very courteous, customer service on point. The chicken I had was delicious😊. Looking value for your money? This is the place trust me! Definitely a win for me, see you again soon 💯
So, this place was recommended to my husband and I by a family member. We were in the mall and were excited to try the food. The food was hands down fantastic. Both my husband and I ordered oxtails and were really happy with our choices (jerk quinoa, pineapple plantains, mango salsa, jerk fried rice, cucumber salsa, etc.) I am not a huge spicy food person and I did not find the food too spicy as others have complained. There is no question that the food is fantastic. The tastes were amazing. We also had pretty decent customer service, the tall gentleman who assisted us was really pleasant and professional. My reason for 3 stars is this. The food is unbelievably overpriced. I mean, there was an incredibly long line to order food, clearly showing the popularity of this place, but we were shocked at how much our food cost. 2 orders of oxtail meals, and 4 beef Pattie’s came to a whopping $78. Yes, you read that correctly $78 dollars. On top of that, the portion of oxtails allocated were about 4 small pieces that were mainly fatty, with very little meat. We are fortunate enough to be able to treat ourselves like this every now and again, but had we had children with us (we often take our teenage nieces and nephews out for a treat) the cost to grab food here for a family would have been the same cost to go to the grocery store and cook multiple meals. While the food was fantastic we feel that we would NOT go here again as their mall prices cost nearly the amount that it would cost for a couple to go to a nice dinner.
