Mestizo Gastro Fusion

Do not even think about it, just go in and have the most amazing dinner, you won’t regret. It was hard to decide because I am in the city on Holidays, and apparently it is a new rest with just few reviews but everything that we got in the table was beautifully cooked and well presented, and the attention was really good, something that I have found is missing in a lot of places lately.

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!! I almost don’t want to write a review to keep this gem all to myself, but I’m sure word will be spreading fast about this place.

I came with my husband for Valentine’s Day and enjoyed their preset Valentine’s menu. We were both blown away with the ambience, service, presentation and most importantly the flavors of every single dish we tried!

For starters we had the corn cheetas, burrata and avocado tosta, and maki luv tuna roll. Followed by our main dishes, the grilled octopus and the NY steak. Lastly, for desert we had the strawberry chocolate bites and the berry pavlova (and some espressos). I would HIGHLY recommend every single dish we had.

I cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu. I am truly blown away!

In a city where restaurants are hot one day and forgotten another, Mestizo Gastro Fusion will be one of the few to last for a generation. To be clear, I’m not a regular review writer. I may have written 2-3, ever. However, this restaurant experience truly inspired me to take my time and put thought into describing our dining experience.

My wife and I stumbled into this signless restaurant on Valentine’s Day. We were welcomed in by the owners, Camila and David, who told us they’d only been open a couple weeks and were still waiting on permits for their sign. We decided to try the preset Valentine’s Day dinner menu and were incredibly impressed. We started with a few appetizers including the Corn Cheetas. Sliced corn cobs, fried and seasoned to perfection. Our main courses were grilled octopus and a Prime New York steak cooked medium. Both cooked to perfection. My fears of an over cooked, chewy octopus were put to rest the moment I took my first bite. The meal was completed with frozen strawberry shortcake bites covered in a rich European chocolate. ????

My wife and I are truly looking forward to bringing our friends and family to Miami’s best new restaurant. To say were excited to try the rest of the menu would be an understatement. Cheers!

Corn cheetas are a MUST TRY! Exotic looking with comfort food taste. I really love this little new restaurant in the neighborhood, great atmosphere and service.
