Great experience at Mamey. Went to the 3rd floor rooftop for a drink and then went back down to the restaurant for our meal. Nicely decorated and a full bar with great drinks. Food was great and given the quality of the food and the experience, it was well within the expected price range. Will definitely go back. Make sure you book in advance.
Beautiful restaurant with elegant decor and whimsical styling. Very welcoming and professional staff. Nice selection on drinks and food, good Happy hour in an upscale setting. Food choices are interesting, some more successful than others. Little on the salty side for dishes I wasn't expecting. The upstairs is stunning with great views and a laid-back Mediterranean vibe. Amazing hang out spot, definitely recommend!
This restaurant had a variety of cultural dishes which were great tasting. The restaurant was extremely busy! We had reservations, thankfully, which allowed for seating right away. We were seated outdoors, which is a covered terrace. Great ambiance which makes for a great ladies/social/date night. Cocktails were amazing.
The restaurant was very busy, while our server was great, we weren't attended to often.
Also, if you prefer a more 'relaxing' vibe, go to the hotels 3rd floor. Mamey has a rooftop bar and serves the menu appetizers.
Have to update my review based on experience last night. Fist off, the food here is amazing. However, we were frustrated with the service.
I had a reservation for a table inside at 8:15PM. We arrived on time and were told that they were a little backed up. We decided to go to the bar upstairs and the hostess told me she would text me a soon as the table was ready. One hour and 2 rounds of drinks later, our table was still not ready. We want back downstairs and we told they could only seat us outside. Meanwhile, they were seating a party that arrived after us in one of the inside tables. After some discussion, we were finally seated (inside). The waiter then gave us our menus and told us that we needed to get our food orders in fast because there was a big party coming in and the kitchen was going to get busy. We were seated over an hour after the reservation time and now we have to rush ordering the food? Not cool. My friend and I ordered the snapper (which is delicious) but the size of the fish that was the plate was not worth the $32 that we paid.
I don't have any issues returning because the food is that good but hopefully I won't have another experience like last night.
Exotic Latin Food! This place is a dream come true! A beautiful decor, premium cocktails and gourmet dishes from the Latin American cuisine. Exotic flavors and fancy presentation. We tried about 10 items from the menu and ALL of them were beyond good! A picture can’t represent how flavorful the food is! This is an upscale restaurant, so prices are according to the location and food quality. It’s not crazy expensive like the ones in south beach. The overall experience is worth every dollar. Reservations are recommended. The building where the restaurant is at has plenty of parking space and valet is also available.
