DC PIE CO. BRICKELL

I live two blocks from there so I’ve picked up pizza and wings and the second time just pizza. As another poster mentioned, strange that there are no olives, and with a dollar tip, the standard pizza with two toppings was $23-24, but it’s a big pizza.

The pizza is really good, like a mix between New York and Neapolitan style: great crust, fresh, nice sauce, great mozzarella, great pepperoni. The wings are solid, baked, I prefer fried, sweeter sauce which isn’t for everybody but I liked it, nothing spectacular, but worth trying. Definitely, the menu needs to expand quite a bit, the options are pizza, appetizers, salads and chicken parm, not a lot of substantial meal options.

Overall the pizza is really good, but if you’re picking up, it takes really long. They offer to call you, which is nice, the first time was like 45 minutes, the second time they predicted 30-45, but it took an hour-and-15 minutes: maybe the oven is too small or they’re not organized. They need to adjust quickly with the logistics and menu if they want to satisfy their clientele and make money. The ambience at the restaurant looks cool, so I think I’d like to eat there or get a drink in their secluded bar or even outside or in the restaurant.

Usually when I go to a place and am not fully satisfied with the food I start the review talking about the staff, lol.

The interior is nicely decorated with a rustic look.

The staff were great. Greeted at the door by thE host, the servers were attentive and friendly. They answered all of my questions about the food. We came during lunch because I got an offer in my email for 15% off lunch special. This is our first visit.

Our order was
lunch special signature pie with beef Pepperoni and artichoke. The pizza was loaded with pepperoni, but wish it had more artichoke. Didn’t cAre much for the huge basil leaves, they came in a whole branCh and I had to cut off pieces so I can eat. The pizza tasted too salty in the beginning I thought it might have been the topping but I tasted the crust by itself and it was salty.

Our second order was the six piece chicken wings with blue cheese on the side. It came after the pizza and it wasn’t hot. It was warmish. Tasted good.

We also got the cannoli, they were good too.

If I had to rank this place it would be from the top 10, but would be in tenth place.

Note: the sodas come almost unsweetened , but the server told us it is supposed to be a healthy choice, that fine we added some sugar ????.

The moist towelettes were a nice addition, don’t see it a lot nowadays.

They also don’t accept cash.

New pizza+ place in Brickell. Ingredients are very fresh, literally you can watch them slice the veggies prior to being placed on your pie. All day Happy Hour on select drinks is a fun way to enjoy a “cheap” drink too. The eggplant parm was amazing, the pizza was great.

Just went for drinks at the cool little bar in the back -- outstanding. Drinks made by Bruno are "crafted" more than mixed. He takes real pride in his creations and it showed/tasted like it. The people were incredibly friendly, and we tried the ravioli which was outstanding. Real cool thing -- no TVs -- so we got to talk rather than being distracted. Great date place to be together and get to know one another.
