A hot new restaurant in the Allapattah area. It is surely something new and needed. In a warehouse and storage depot area turned into an abundantly spaced Texas style smoke pit. Known for its barbecue prime cut meats and spiced chicken wings.
The food was wood-fired, well cooked, tasteful, and full of smoked flavor. Although at a cost. New York prices for food and adult drinks. Good portions, but you may end up paying more than anticipated.
Ample free parking in the warehouse district area. No Happy Hour. Recommended for locals looking for a new lunch location.

The atmosphere and setting were wonderful. Waitstaff and hosts were perfect. All front of house folks were wonderful. I think there were good flavors in the food, but I couldn't find them behind all the pepper. I really wanted to like the food because the flavor was trying to breakthrough the pepper...but it couldn't. The food was unnecessarily hot/spicy. The pork ribs and the beef brisket were quite peppery. The baked beans were inedible they were so hot. The mac n' cheese was good, although soupy, but it had some heat as well (not recommended as a kids' option). If it weren't for the dollop of sour cream on the corn pudding, it too would be way too hot. The only thing on our plate that wasn't spicy was the cornbread and the banana pudding (both were amazing). I realize that BBQ has heat...I'm cool with that. But this place though brings the heat up to a whole other level than what you typically find. If you're into Jamaican, spicy Asian or Cajun food, this is right up your alley. If you are like me and you like a little heat but not too much, you may wish to exercise caution. This is the kind of heat that will have you up searching for TUMS in the middle of the night.

Although a little pricier than your typical BBQ joint, the food and ambiance truly make this a great restaurant. Initially I was a little skeptical about the location, but it really is perfect for the setting! We went on a Sunday right before the late afternoon/evening rush and were able to find parking, order and get our food all in a matter of minutes!

We ended up spending about $50 for two people (we shared the Rib tips, brisket, a small slaw, a large Mac & cheese, and a banana pudding) it was all delicious and although hubby said he could eat more, I was full!!! I even ate my brisket "crumbs" to ensure nothing was left on the plate! All of the flavors worked so perfectly together and that Queso Mac and cheese...I could bathe in it!!!

We will definitely be back soon, and ready to try some more of the items on the menu!!!

Really amazing BBQ place. It's kinda hidden in an area where you wouldn't expect a restaurant to be. The place itself is very simple and looks like a warehouse which adds to it's attractiveness and style. Service is good and they have a nice bar with cocktail drinks and a nice craft beer menu. Don't expect a candlelight dinner, but it has amazing express food service perfect for an in and out but delightful experience. Menu is somewhat limited but food is off the wall with delicious homemade BBQ sauce. Recommended for groups and very hungry people. Don't waive the banana pudding, best I've had.

Only been in two bbq Joints in South Florida. One is called shivers which is at the Homestead and other one is this. So I can only compare hometown barbecue with the shivers. The quality of the meat is good. We ordered a pound of beef ribs which is cooked for 12 hours it was really juicy and fatty. We also ordered a half a pound of brisket also juicy we had one order of corn bread delicious. We also added the smoked chicken wings six pieces. The waitress recommended that we don’t over order but because the meat comes out very quick we can always add more to our order. The staff was friendly and generous with information. The charge came around $90 which is more expensive than shivers but is closer. I still want to go to Shiva is more than this place, but I enjoyed the experience and the food. I also like the side of the place it seems that you were in the meatpacking factor I guess and I think that was the theme which was different. Parking is available.
