Fresh fish, good flavors. You can be a novice or a connoisseur, either way you will find something in their menu that fits your taste.

    Bent box lunch special $18

The tuna crispy rice is really good. It’s almost like a raw tuna tartar on top. The octopus sushi was not for me. I couldn’t taste the octopus because it was drenched in spicy oil. Wife thought it was ok. There was a cucumber yellow tail. Wife like it because she likes cucumbers but I don’t. I picked them out still had a bit of cucumber flavor I know I’m pretty picky in that respects. The ginger was great. I liked that more than my rolls. Maybe it was really fresh? Not a bad place just might be careful if you don’t like spicy food.I’d go back in a second. And if you are at the citadel it’s worth a visit for sure

Legit one of my favorite places inside the Citadel, they have a variety of sushi rolls and bites that never miss. I probably eat here 3-4 times a week! If you haven't yet, go check them out.

Umai, umai, umai! This place has far better quality sushi for less- I just tried it on Uber Eats for the hell of it, as I really wanted Onigiri, they had a deal on free delivery so I got more than what I planned on buying- “The Kid” is also delicious but if you’re not a fan of seaweed salad, don’t get it. Also, portions are big if you get a bowl- you could probably share it between two people.

They say the better the rice, the better quality you’ll get in terms of sushi (where I live is expensive but the places overprice the food with varying quality). So… this is my go-to place until other local stores step up their game. Onigiri’s my favorite, I’ll be grabbing lunch from here now if I want my fix.

(I didn’t ask for utensils and still got some, the chopsticks are better quality than most without owning any ones for the house.)

Edit: Would really like to see something sweet like Tamago on the menu someday, or maybe that semi-cooked omelette…? Maybe some mochi, taiyaki, or dango? (Please not the ones with ice cream in them…) We don’t have a lot of Japanese sweets around and it’s really a shame.

Maki-San? More like Make Me Come..... back for more Palate bending experiences. The menu is CLEARLY descriptive to the Flavor ride you're about to embark on. So make sure you're sitting down and not operating Heavy Machinery when you strap in. Almost a 4 star review because I wasn't aware my socks would LITERALLY fly off. Before I could even gather a single strand of yarn, the owner gave me his OWN SOCKS!!!! 4761 Rooted Stars this place gets.
