Very good and simple Japanese eatery in a quiet part of Coconut Grove.
The food was very fresh and tasty. Portions were good given the prices. The Midorie Bowl was excellent, seaweed salad very good and the unagi sushi well executed.
Service was attentive and friendly. Only issue was that two of us were served our bowls quickly while our friend had to wait a good ten minutes longer for his Maki.
The staff explained its due to two different stations and apologized for the wait.
Will definitely be back. Indoor seating is limited but they have a small outdoor dining section well shaded from the sun.
I believe is a well deserve three ( I consider myself a sushi expert) my friend brought me here because she saw this place on some influencer TikTok or something about new places, the price is $100 for 12 piece omakase nigiri, which is fine, in New York is popular that price, but the fish wasn’t fresh, my favorite are otoro and hamachi, which I didn’t really like it here, and also the rice was falling apart, the service took some time, you can’t order any alcoholic beverage you have to bring your own. The atmosphere is minimalistic, at peak hours the sushi bar gets busy and people can sit outside or in some chairs inside. They have a lot to improve. I think a well deserved three.
WOW. I asked a friend where to get sushi in Miami, and she didn’t steer me wrong.
I had the Nigiri Omakase with the Negihama Maki. My partner had the Midorie bowl. The bowls were quite affordable and a nice portion. Everything was spectacular. The fish were fresh and full of flavor. Will come again 🤤
The real deal. If you are looking for high quality, fresh ingredients and an authentic sushi experience then look no further. Midorie's selection of fish is so fresh and so flavorful. Their eel sashimi was the best I have ever had in Miami. I also loved the hamachi roll with scallions and wasabi. I highly recommend this place.
Great spot for quality sushi, and something Miami is missing. Excellent hand rolls and fresh nigiri sushi with fish flown in from Japan. I am definitely going to be back to try their chirashi bowls, something they are known for. Hoping they stick around for a while! Limited seating so be prepared for that. Its BYOB for the moment and we got some beers from across the street. Arigato to the the team at Midorie for a great meal!
