We had a real unique experience here ???? we ordered a multi course meal which included steak. The store gets busy around 11pm in a weekend. BBQ is a common choice, so many BBQ orders were going on. However, it seems like their vent wasn't working very well and soon enough the fire alarm went off. The staff kept their cool throughout the whole thing. The alarm went on for a very long time until the smoke cleared. It too them a very long time to get out food. The food was good, the portions were small. The prices are a bit high. And I felt they should've offered us some dessert for the inconvenience or even a customer discount, but nothing was offered. Overall we had a good time.
What I liked: how discreet the location is, feels like a private place.
Restaurant looks clean and fresh, with a shiny blue tile. The young lady who took care of us was nice and NOT too present ( I hate when a server shows up every 2 minutes and ask if you're done yet when you're obviously not). Good vibe.
Service was not too slow except for the dessert and check. It really took forever, to the point we had to go directly to the cashier (it was lunchtime)
What I did not like: the tomato soup. Waay too sour and poor seasoning. It tastes bad.
I agree with another reviewer that everything else we ordered was dry. Apparently one was supposed to pay a supplement for sauce, which doesn't make any sense in a restaurant... Offering some sauce with a dry meal won't hurt and it gives you a better image.
Overall, it was good but not wow. I think of coming back for dinner though and try something different.
Great meal at a location close to the water. We tried the arepitas (delicious), the rack of lamb, the corn and avocado risotto and two desserts—flan and fruit bomb. Both were outstanding. Highly recommend.
A friend and I came for Miami Spice dinner and it was about what I expected. By far, our appetizer was the best in terms of flavor and presentation. The entree we chose was the roasted red snapper, and it was tiny and over salted. The guava roll with goat cheese frosting and Catalina mango sandwich were good. When we arrived, they didn't give us the Miami Spice menu, so we had to specifically ask for it. For what you're paying, the portions are pretty small and I wouldn't say the quality blew me away enough to be worth the price. Service was nice and the decor is very pretty and modern.
