Very authentic experience owned and operated by real Haitian staff. The food perfectly set the tone. I purchased to go because I knew I wouldn’t eat it all eating in. So excuse the presentation. Delicious!
This was my 1st time visiting Miami. I researched all the places I wanted to eat and this was one was at the top of my list. I will say this, the food is good but I've had better Haitian. The people who are locals and frequent the place are loud as hell and rude. Something I wasn't used to seeing while your eating. The food is authentic but I've had better. Macillion is the best Haitian food in Miami.
However the woman on reception recommended this restaurant. Amazing authentic Haitian food. I had oxtail - it was melt in mouth with delicious gravy. With rice and beans and plantain. Other dishes ordered were fried chicken and pork. Both delicious. Off tourist trail - obviously very popular with local people. $57 filling meal and drinks for 4 of us. Definitely recommend. Get a feel of real Little Haiti culture.
Just a heads up its a cash only restaurant. Thats the first thing the server/order taker told me as soon I walked in. The food was good, but there is bad smell in the restaurant. Which turned me off for dining in. But I still choose to dine in. Inspite of telling the server for here not to go. She still gave me the food to go. Service could be better.
