Pollo Campero

I went here today for lunch. I hadn't been there in a long time. We got there when they had just opened so the dining room and restrooms were clean. My chicken was so fresh it was still piping hot and crispy. I really enjoyed it. I took off a star for 2 reasons. First, my rice was room temperature. It didn't taste old or bad. It was just cold. I've worked in fast food so I know it probably comes already made and they just heat it up. It probably wasn't ready and they didn't check it before serving it. The second reason is that the Pepsi was out and that's something they should have checked before they opened.
I do agree with some of the other reviewers that it is a bit expensive for what it is. However, I love their chicken and I don't have a Pollo Campero near my home so for me it's a rare treat when I'm in the area. I'll definitely be back.

I here to two reactions from most people for this place, either they love it or hate it. I have no problem what the place or the food. However once in awhile they have someone who only speaks Spanish taking orders in the front, but what else can you expect from Little Havana

Guatemalan chain specializing in chicken - grilled and fried - Nice staff/employees, delicious grilled chicken (moist inside) good sides (yucca fries especially!) - my only complaint is that I hope they expand since the dining area is not that big

I was impress with this last visit!
Service was better, the place very clean and remodel, got served on proper plate. The service can improve just a bit more but overall is very good.
The chicken has that authentic rich flavor that makes it UNIQUE.
I always recommend Campero.

If you are pressed for time and want relatively healthy and flavorful fast food, Pollo Campero fits the bill perfectly. Their grilled chicken is delicious. Street corn, Cole slaw, plantains and fried yuca are all great sides. Each is flavorful and works great as a accompaniment to their grilled or fried Peruvian style chicken. I picked up food for 9 people and to my amazement the bill was under 60 bucks. A+
