Taquerias El Mexicano

My husband and I came in here for lunch while in town celebrating our anniversary. The staff was friendly and I believe the owner thanked us for coming in as we got up to leave which was nice. The chips and salsa were really good and so was my margarita. In fact I think it was the coldest and tastiest margarita I’ve ever had. We were so let down by our entrees though. My husband had a combination plate and the only thing he ate off of it completely was the taco and beans. The tamale some sort of tomato paste sauce that in his opinion did not taste right and the cheese tortilla was over cooked and not eatable. I ordered the super burrito and paid the up charge for steak. The ingredients were fresh but it felt like it was mainly a lettuce and guacamole wrap. I expected more protein in the $13.50 burrito especially when it came with no sides. Did we hate the place? No. Would we come back next time? No. Maybe it’s just our taste preference but thought it should be noted.

I come here all the time and have to say that the tacos are GREAT! They have a premium bar with great cocktails! I regularly order the Paloma Tradicional and it is out of this world! Would absolutely recommend coming here!

Stopped in with friends to try their food and I have to say that its a great place! The drinks are good, the beers are cold, and the food was amazing. But to me I loved the chips and salsa as well as the guacamole! The people there were friendly and very attentive. A return visit is already in the making with more friends!
