This is an awesome restaurant with a great atmosphere and great tasting food. It’s a hidden gem. I can’t wait to go back. Phenomenal food and cocktails.
Ambiance is awesome, a warm and sultry sort of modern take on bohemian. The staff was great. Be prepared for microbite sized food...the intent is there in the element of creativity, but the execution is weak, particularly with the drinks. The mixtures are not complimentary, flavors are muddled and too difficult to discern...the essences are so overpowering that the drinks leave a difficult to cleanse after taste that does not pair well with the menu options. Now the bite sized snacks are delicious and perfectly balanced in both flavors amd textures....however, they do live up to the bite sized description so prepare to order a nice variety. We got 4 different bites, and 2 main dishes. The pasta dish of the day was disappointing. The spaghetti woth tomato sauce and lamb chop is more like a moist ramen noodle with shredded meat..that once again, is so muddled in texture and flavor that fell short of expectation.
Great food and friendly service. Brunch was so good on Sunday we had to come back during the week for breakfast. Everyone here is so nice, casual, and easy to talk to. Really good coffee!
Loved it! Worth seeking out.
I read about their clarified Margarita. It absolutely as good as the reviews. What I didn’t expect to find was a place that deserves a marque. The bartender recommended the Asparagus, and I’m SO glad he did. There is tremendous effort put into the cocktail program, and the menu. The service is polished, and the space is comfortable.
The flavours pop, and you will definitely be glad you made the effort to stop by. You won’t forget it.
Based on the quality and hospitality of Jim & Nessie's you would never expect this to be a hotel restaurant. This restaurant is located inside the Generator Hostel/Hotel. No on site parking or valet, but there is apparently street parking nearby. I don't have a car, so cannot say for sure.
As long as they keep the same great chef, this restaurant is well worth a visit.
If I lived in Miami, I'd certainly dine there more than once and explore the menu. This restaurant is not designed to only serve hotel guests. It is a dining destination all by itself.
The restaurant is intimate and dark. Very comfortable, the upholstered bench against the walls is furnished with pillows for relaxed dining. The bartender will frequently come out from behind the bar to visit tables, take drink orders and deliver cocktails.
I ate there a number of times during my stay. I enjoyed the crispy skin salmon and the airline chicken. The desserts were unique.
I really enjoyed like desert that combined strawberry ice cream with a berry sorbet, with a fruit sauce and fresh strawberries. The desserts change daily based on the mood of the chef.
A dinner with cocktail or wine plus dessert will run about $60 inclusive of tax and tip, which is automatically included in the bill.
