Specchio Cafe and Restaurant

Place is nice and it has a good atmosphere. Servers were also very nice and polite. Food was okay. On my visit I ordered a caprese salad and to my dismay , it was truly disappointing that the restaurant could not even get this simple yet delicious dish right. I am well traveled (and I have been to Italy) so I know what a good caprese salad should really be.

Salad was extremely small (only came with 4 tomato slices)... Cheese was okay. Basil was okay as well. The number one killer was that for some odd reason they put roasted red peppers on the salad (it totally changes the taste.)

Management: Please do not put roasted red peppers on a caprese salad and add more tomatos (4 slices is not enough) at least give your customer a 1 tomato worth of salad.

Additional touches. People like to see their Parmesan cheese being grated in front of them (don't tell them that you grated the cheese today in the kitchen.)

Nice little place and good food and good for families. Great service.

The food was great I had ravioli with spinach and mozzarella in tomato sauce my husband's dish could of been better. He ordered some clams, the seasoning was great but the clams tasted old and were very tiny. If they would of served them fresh the dish would of been much better.

Unpretentious neighborhood restaurant serving great food. White bean soup was delicious and salmon w/ creamy red pepper corn sauce was extraordinary. Service was excellent too.
