Mikes Bbq 101

Mike , the owner is friendly and prepared a killer, moist, and flavorful brisket. The cornbread is soft and buttery, with an excellent corn taste.
5 stars to Mike and a must stop in Key Largo.

Awesome service and food! The meat was delicious and the beans were too. Even the mac n cheese (not a fan of that usually) was awesome! Only regret was not getting the sausage after they let us try some. A definite must stop if your going through key largo

What a great place with very tasty bbq. Mike was very nice and even let us try the smoked sausage. You must get it, unbelievably juicy! The portions are big and price is nice and cheap especially for the quality of the food. My husband tried my mac and cheese,he really isn't a fan usually but Mike's was delicious and I ended up having to share ????We live in KW and stopped by on our way off the rock. We will def be back OR maybe Mike will get a truck for us down at the southern end of the island ????????

I read reviews about Mikes before we went there because I am a big fan of authentic smoked food as I smoke meat myself. If you smoke your own food it is hard to replicate that anywhere else, well I did indeed find that at Mike’s. We tried the ribs and pulled pork and let me tell you it is truly wonderful smoked food. Mike is doing it right!!! I would definitely put this on your list of BBQ places to try. The side dishes were all good!

The food was tasty as expected. The ribs were great and the brisket sandwich was too. As for sides, definitely go with the mac&cheese. The cornbread was very satisfying, but the potato salad was very mayonnaise-y. Chicken and ribs sold out by 4:30, so get there soon. And try all 3 sauces ;)
