We've been ordering delivery from Big John's almost every week for years. Lately there have been many orders that were delivered and something was always writing. Like ordering two mozzarella/prosciutto sandwiches and getting both of them without mozzarella, then waiting another hour for them to deliver us new ones with mozzarella. Or choosing blue cheese dressing for our salad but having balsamic delivery instead. Or not getting the salad at all even though it's on the order. We still love Big John's but something is definitely going on lately.
What a sweet surprise. Plenty of parking. Nice location. In the atmosphere inside is completely not what you expect. Fast service restaurant you order at the counter. Sit down and they bring it to you. Husband had chicken Parmesan. It looks like my grandmother made it, I had the shrimp Alfredo also equally homemade ,nice baked shrimp. Entrées come with three garlic knots and they are the best little bready garlic breads anywhere. Lovely atmosphere. Will return
The food has went down over the years, very light sauce and just enough cheese to cover the bread. The pizza flavor is blend (that’s why I said bread), garlic knots taste like oil with a smell of garlic but no garlic flavor and the calzone was better but flat with the cheese more in the center. Delivery was very fast under 30 minutes but the food wasn’t very hot for that quick speed. I wish they keep the food like it was before, lots of cheese and knots with garlic. I understand pricing has gone up but so has the menu price.
Service was non existent which isn't their fault, it's just how the store is built. Food was average, pizza wasn't cut all the way, garlic knots had too much Parmesan but tasted good, the classic fettuccine Alfredo was good, though the noodles were slightly undercooked but I didn't mind it. It's an average pizza place, not bad but not amazing.
Delish!
I must say we have encountered really terrible service at most every place we stopped at in The Keys. This restaurant was incredible; from taking our order, to serving our food, to saying goodbye.
I like they offer a single slice option. The salad was delicious and of course the mozzarella sticks were, too.
We may go back one more time before we travel back home!
