El Mocho Restaurant

El Mocho is my favorite! It's my go-to. Pretty much my favorite now for decades. Cuban cooking cooked by Cubans. Real Cuban bread cooked on location. And I just had the flan last week, it was as good as it was when I was a kid–since 1983. This is where local's eat.

We ate dinner here today. I'm absolutely no expert of Cuban Cuisine however; I can say, we think the food served here is delicious. We had the smoked pork chops and bean soup of the day.

I've always loved El Mocho's been eating here for many many years. My parents lived next to the restaurant and evey time I'd come home this was my go to for Great Cuban food. Great home cooked tasty food, I always forget to take photos of my Cuban Mix orders that's because I can't wait to sink my teeth into them. If they are not open when I make it down there I'm there the next morning for breakfast then lunch. I'm always so excited to get my food I keep forgetting to get me a shirt. Welp just another reason to head south. Seriously Great Cuban food an Coffee in a family atmosphere...

We wanted something local before getting to KeyWest, we had the Chicken and Beef empanadas, they were delicious tease homemade, we had the beef and ribs special, it tasted very well, over all great experience the server was very helpful also gave us some recommendations where to go in KeyWest.

Added a little nice touch, they have some art pieces on the wall, not sue if they are local artists but they were pleasant to look at.

Will definitely recommend
