We had a late breakfast at La Creperie French Cafe Key West and enjoyed a mixed culinary experience. The crepes were excellent, showcasing perfect texture and delightful flavor. The service was friendly and prompt, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.
However, the croque madame was merely adequate. The eggs were overcooked, lacking the velvety and runny yolk that is a hallmark of this dish. The biggest disappointment was the quiche Lorraine. It was, unfortunately, horrible. The crust was blackened, almost burnt, and the filling seemed devoid of eggs, missing the characteristic texture and structure of a traditional quiche.
Overall, while the crepes and service were commendable, the croque madame adequate, the quiche Lorraine left much to be desired.
very friendly place, delicious pancakes (always take 2), fast service and wonderful staff, singing backstreet boys))))
Good golly this place was fantastic! Not only was all the food tasty, but the place itself was so quaint! We were a party of four and all of us ordered savory dishes that were super tasty and FRESH. I had an omelette with avocado, salmon, brie, spinach and fresh herbs (la mer) Wow! My friend raved about the Benedict galette! The food was hot and fresh and even with a busy morning crowd, the food came out in a timely manner. They had a great choice of mimosas, beer and wine too. Entrees were about $15-25, which is totally on-par with any other restaurant in old town. Our waiter was attentive and friendly…We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Don’t miss this gem!
Amazing food, amazing service. We sat outside and there was so much nature to watch. I had the eggs Benedict and the croissant it was on was perfect! This is now one of my favorite Key West breakfast spots.
