The Rhum House

It was our own fault. We went on on a Sunday night with a massive crowd (over 20) with no reservations and the restaurant was overwhelmed. Management could have explained the situation but no reasons came forth. We figured it out on our own.

Orders came out incorrectly and in the wrong order. Certain dishes came out under spiced (I'm looking at you mushrooms) and others came out cold (soup).

Worst situation was a beetroot hummus dip. Menu said that it came with bread. Waitstaff denied that it did. Dear waitstaff, even if it didn't come with a bread bring the effing bread out. For the cost of possibly a few bucks you would have made the person waiting for the dish happy and made a not so great situation better.

Like I explained initially if we had made reservations they could have staffed properly. I would give it another chance if I went back but would definitely make reservations.

NOTE: Management did take some dishes off our bill but for 3 people it still came to over $250 bucks.

Highly recommend checking out for a nicer dinner while in Marathon. The restaurant is right on the water with unobstructed views. The decor is spot on along with the resort grounds in general. The food is 5 star, had the strip and the catch of the day. Housemade cocktails are also very tasty. Attentive but not intrusive staff. The resort and upper bar area are also amazing.

As promised, here is the 2nd part of my review for the Rhum House! Visit #2 , did not disappoint & exceeded my already high expectations! The staff & management all knowledgeable about the menu items & dinner specials, as well as the drinks & wines. We had a family member with severe nut allergies & the staff ensured his safety. We had everything from hummus, salads, sliders, skirt steak, to a few dinner specials, mine being snapper served with lemon sauce. Truely amazing!!! Can’t wait to get back to enjoy more of their culinary delights! Here are some pics.

What An Absolute Gem. The Rhum House exceeded any expectation we could have had. The burnt ends were the best app ever and we shared 4 entree’s that each had there own dreaminess. Each bursting with their own uniqueness of flavors and textures making for the best of cuisine experiences. And an experience is what we received. The service and atmosphere were on point. We will absolutely be back!

Phenomenal view!!! Enjoyed a couple cocktails and the whipped feta - everything was wonderful! Absolutely delicious! The staff were professional and kept the friendly island vibes at the same time - highly, highly recommend! For sunset cocktails and light bites, there's nowhere more picturesque!
