We visited Fernandina Beach to see friends. They suggested we have dinner here and we were not disappointed!! Wow, a great place! They food was great, as was the atmosphere. Can't wait to dine here again on a future trip.
We love love love Lagniappe. Brian and Melanie and their staff are just wonderful. Tonight we had the mussels in a delicious creamy white, Cobb salad, Corvina white fish with spinach risotto and micro greens along with prime rib pot pie in Guinness gravy to die for. For dessert we had the hummingbird cake and for my birthday a chocolate brulee. What a epicurean delight. When I go to sleep tonight I will have sweet dreams, all about Lagniappe. You gotta go.
Came for lunch & ordered the crabcake sandwich. Very tasty with nice chunks of crab and a side of potato salad. Both had a nice dijon flavor.
It was so good, I came back for dinner. Really glad that I did. Their fresh catch was amazing. Best piece of fish I've had in a while. Really fresh & perfectly cooked. It came served on basil mashed potatoes (yeah, they're green), with grilled asparagus on top and a tasty sauce.
The rest of my party was equally impressed. Great service as well. Highly recommended.
Terrific food, atmosphere and service are guaranteed every time you dine. The chef specials are always my favorite choice, but I can't wait to go. back and try the fried chicken. It's supposed to be out of this world. The owners have been in the industry for years and chef Brian takes pride in all dishes coming out of the kitchen. It's always a great place to meet friends for a quick drink or even just some appetizers. You won't be disappointed either way you experience it.
A new place on the south side of Amelia Island, which we tried for brunch-- and the three stars say it has some growing to do. The ambience is outstanding with sleek, modern decor and an elegant bar. Generous seating areas and parking are available. For brunch we ordered their biscuits, light and fluffy and the highlight of the meal. One egg was ordered poached but a bit runny, the bacon was barely warm, and a piece of unmelted processed cheese, probably Velveeta, was on top in all of its rubbery consistency. Far better would have been a slice of real cheese, sharp cheddar or a smoked Gouda!! Coffee was tasteless. Prices are reasonable but for a few extra dollars they could make ordinary extraordinary!! The owner and head chef are not new to the business, so we hope they will tweak the quality of the menu. We plan to return for a different meal and hope for the best!!
