You can't beat the location. It's right next to the Green Turtle and Centre Street. So everything Historic Downtown is right there. It's just a walk to the Harbour and Brett's restaurant on the water , so you can eat and see the Sunset. They allow dogs on the outdoor patio. The Palace Saloon and the The Fudge shop are a must. Both the hotel and Saloon are the oldest working in Florida.
The beach is just 7 minutes east and you can stop and play pickleball at Center Park halfway. There is also a good skate park at the parking lot by the beach.
Major late 1800s feel with a bit of Key West , Southern Rebel, and Gold rush fever thrown in. So if you just want to walk around with friends and eat chocolate and drink and listen to live musicians; This is the place. Relax

We loved our stay in this historic hotel. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a claw foot soaker tub which was divine. Check in and check out were easy. Location is fantastic - within a short walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. They do have live music next door at the Green Turtle until 11:00 p.m., which we enjoyed, but if you want to head to bed early and are looking for quiet - that's not going to happen on the weekend. The only negative would be the bar staff. One time we tried to get service on the back porch and were blatantly ignored. A second time the evening bar staff was rude and unaccommodating. Luckily - there are a lot of other bars to choose from. Other than that - loved it and would definitely return!

We’ve had a pleasant stay! Easy, fast check-in! Nice staff. Rooms are clean and have everything you need! We had the Bridal Suite. This is a historic house and that is the charm! Expect to hear city noises through the night (we always bring a sound machine so it didn’t bother us!). The rooms all have their own exterior entry doors. So you can be private more like a hotel, not your traditional B&B feel where you are in someones house. Central air, but not controlled in your room. No issues, but might be for some people especially in the summer. The Mermaid bar downstairs was fantastic and the Green Turtle next door was fun last night. It’s also Walking distance to a ton of restaurants and bars!!

I really loved the biscuits light and fluffy and the side of sausage was amazing as well as the homemade jams. The waffle was not as crisp as i prefer but was yummy. Servive was also excellent and the ambiances was very nice.
