Lobster roll was delicious. Poke nachos were definitely missing something. They have a goat cheese sauce they put on it but that lacks flavor. It needs a soy sauce or wasabi sauce on top of it. Service was slow. Took awhile to get food.
Buyer beware. For a Thursday night the house was packed and the wait was 45-60 minutes. Once in, the food was great. The service was better. Try and sit on the top deck when you go. The scenery is gorgeous. Then ask for Nick to be your server. Funny guy. In all, a family friendly place or a spot for 2 to enjoy a great seafood dinner for a date. Try it, you'll thank me later.
Food, great. Salad was freshest ever, must have been all sourced nearby. Good service. Venue, unique bar area upstairs. 4.5 stars, can't wait to go back!
We just had dinner here. We had actually planned to have dinner at another restaurant but we lost track of time and the other place closed early. Salty Pelican did not disappoint us! I had their fish tacos, which were delicious. The fish was perfectly seasoned! Bonus was that they were only $2 each for Taco Tuesday. I also had a bowl of Shrimp & Corn Chowder, which was good. My husband had the Fish & Shrimp Duo with the Crab Parmesan Crust on the Fish. AMAZING!! If you're looking for a yummy meal while in the downtown area, this place should be one of your top picks.
Excellent seafood and cocktails... Our party of 4 dined here three times in two weeks because the food was so outstanding. We sat upstairs in the elevated bar area with great views of the water. Service was snappy and food served hot. My favorite was the lobster rolls (a bargain at $17 for 2 well stuffed rolls), which I ordered all three times. Other people enjoyed the fried oysters, chowder, fish special, etc. Highly recommended.
