AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar

We went to the restaurant after a boat ride hoping to have some decent food but all the lights were on at restaurant with the big arrow pointing towards the restaurant only to find out it was closed for “employee appreciation”.

Employee appreciation is great and should be done more often but the lights need to be off so that customers who look at times online and are from out of town aren’t disappointed.

The food here is pretty good when it is open.

This review is only to let the management know that if the restaurant is going to be closed, do not give it the appearance of being open.

We had a party of 15 which is hard to accommodate last minute. We were seated within 10 minutes. Everyone was so nice. Our waiter Fernando was amazing, he took his time and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Will definitely be back

8/22/21- My husband & I dropped in on this jewel walking around & making reservations for boat trips, etc..
The atmosphere is a wonderful experience with great views of the harbor. The waitress was attentive with a great attitude (sorry I forgot her name).
We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell & oh my, so fresh & good that we ordered another dozen for our lunch!! We highly recommend this place as a fun, casual place to relax. Thank you so much!

Definitely not worth the hype...we have read and watched so many great reviews on this place we were thrilled to try it.
They were out of a few drinks and food items when we went...my husband and I got the stuffed shrimp and it was pretty good. The kids also loved their popcorn shrimp. But it was nothing like what we were expecting. We probably won't come back.
*They also charge a fee if your using a debit card.

Drinks are really expensive for what you get but the fish tacos are really good.
