Border Grill Fresh-Mex

The food was really good. The service was excellent. I’m traveling with two colleagues and one was probably a little hesitant because it’s not a fine dining establishment. Lets just say the waiter was great, the food arrived hot,, fresh and fast. In fact, faster than any fine dining Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The place is small and the customers are non stop for dine in or take out. It’s authentic Mexican NOT Tex Mex. I grew up in TX and eat Tex Mex frequently and love it, but there is a difference. If you’re staying at the Doubletree hotel and want a good hot meal close by... give them a try!

When we got here we were immediately seated. I really enjoyed the vibe in here, it looks like it was previously a car/mechanics place that turned into a restaurant. I like that it wasn't like fine dining in terms of having to dress nicely, you can just wear anything casual and comfortable. Our waiter was really nice and all the workers are very attentive. Whenever my glass was halfway done, someone would notice and pour us more water. For the two hours I was there, I never poured my own water.

It’s as authentic as grandma’s cooking. The place is well staffed and very friendly. The food comes quickly and it’s made to order. I’m not a fan of Mexican food around Orlando but I find myself here 2-3 times a week.

If you are looking for a "dining experience" this may not be your speed. If you are looking for great, tasty, authentic, quick, hot, good service and inexpensive then this place is a "must". Solid 5 star destination, no frills that does not disappoint.

Best taste for VALUE! I can essentially guarantee you're not going to find better, made from scratch Mexican cuisine for this price anywhere in the city. The one thing that others could consider a turn-off is the interior...I'm there to eat though, not admire the ambiance (which has its own charm).
