Awesome food
Las mejores hamburguesas de Orlando
I loved Chiqui Burger!!!
It is a Venezuelan Style food truck which name means the opposite of their portions. Chiqui is short for chiquito, which is in itself a synonym of chico, meaning small, or short, in English. In fact, chiquito is the diminutive of chico, so it means smaller than what is already small.
They have a full array of Venezuelan street foods which Venezuelans also can make at home due to ingredient overlap, but of course it is much better when had at a food truck, as it is very common and cool to go there after going out for drinks and dancing to the clubs.
The guys there make everything on the spot, they make their own sauces which are the typical ones you get in Venezuela such as garlic, melted cheese, spicy sauce (with Venezuelan chilis), and others.
Going back to the portions, the first time there we each got an arepa, and I couldn't finish it, as we also got tequeños (Venezuelan cheese sticks - similar concept to mozzarella sticks but NOT the same at all), and so we were super full.
Second time we got a pepito, which is a baguette typically filled with chopped steak, cheese, lettuce, tomato , and other sauces you add.
The service is good but of course the wait can be long sometimes. I think it's because of the American culture of considering quick service, but have to understand that, in order to keep the flavor and quality high, the wait is essential, especially when a food truck usually has 2 to 3 people operating it.
I know I sound biased but I saw people from other nationalities there and they were loving it too. Just be open minded and go enjoy some Venezuelan street food.
