Citron, An American Brasserie

The Christmas day brunch here was delicious. We had gone to it a few years back but this one was even better. The raw bar and sushi was a great way to start the meal and all the carving stations we're fresh and replenished often. The dessert display was like something out of a fairy tale!! We'll be back for another holiday meal!!

Good food, great service, $$$

We stayed this weekend at the JW Marriott and had breakfast at Citron, which used to be an amazing restaurant. At one time, they served breakfast, lunch and dinner but now only offer breakfast. Our meal was really just average and quite expensive for what it was. This restaurant years ago had a French bistro kind of feel with food that was expertly prepared and now it is like any average hotel eatery. Nothing special at all and charging very high prices, unfortunately. I ordered a beef hash with eggs skillet and the meat that was used was of low quality, very tough and grissly. Not appetizing at all and nothing like what you would have expected from the description on the menu. My wife had eggs with chicken sausage and the sausage had a very strong taste of an herb which we did not care for. I remember these being really good some years ago. The hotel overall has gone down in quality and this clearly shows in the restaurant. It is disappointing to see a hotel like this losing its edge but the JW and Citron are not what they used to be at all!
