Dexter's Birdland

The BBQ was spectacular! So much so that my "I only eat buffalo chicken" kid is begging to go back.

The staff was also exceptional. Knowledgeable, friendly, and apologetic. Yeah, unfortunate the kitchen seemed inexperienced and disorganized. It shouldn't take an hour to get chicken wings and ribs.

The staff says the Q is from upstate New York. It is definitely different than anything I have ever had.

We will be back, anticipating those wings and ribs, and hoping the kitchen can sort itself out.

I’m a foreign tourist visiting Amway Center. Ms. Camille and the owner Mr. Dexter very kindly helped out with my bag storage problem. On top of that, their food and music were great too. If you happen to be nearby, I strongly recommend you check out this restaurant for the nice food, music, staff and atmosphere. Dexter’s will forever hold a special place in my memory.

Very pleasant atmosphere. I was greeted upon arrival. The gentleman at the register was very informative and had an awesome friendly energy. The cook did a great job on meal and it was a bonus that he was easy on the eyes :) Also was informed of the weekly happenings which included live entertainment on the weekends and a wine down Wednesday. This is a fairly new business so I will continue to support. Oh yeah forgot to say that food was slammin!!! I was soooo happy to see that they offered the beyond burger as well as a couple of veggie friendly sides. So summary is that this will definitely be one of my spots to visit when I am hanging out downtown.

Oh my goodness! The macaroni salad! There's something in there that I can't put my finger on it but it's amazing! Dexter won't tell me! The chicken taste so bomb. They have this sauce that's so great that goes with the chicken too. An absolute amazing place to eat. You should go

Man oh man, what a find! Great wings, awesome collard greens and we had the home made potato salad. We loved it all so much we bought the 20 wing meal to take back to St Augustine!
Dexter is a true blue guy with a great work ethic. Can't wait to come back!!
