Always a beautiful Resort, and close to our favorite park - Epcot. A newly expanded convention center offers exquisite surroundings for meetings. With boat transportation to two Theme Parks or casual walk along the waters edge. The shop has fewer souvenirs these days but does offer snacks with grab n go options. Well appointed rooms are pricey nowadays, but if you are wanting a full service Disney experience - this is a comfortable base of operations.
Yacht Club is one of the best resorts available. Convenient to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It has the best pool out of all the resorts, with a large kids section, a lazy river, a pirate ship slide, and of course a convenient pool bar. And the Boardwalk is just a short walk or boat ride away for some additional fun!
The service was excellent. The pool area was amazing. The water was the cleanest I've ever seen. Never a single insect! But most of all the experience shined at the poolside bar with the bartender Tom. This man was working all day and never skipped a beat! He obviously loves his job and is passionate about it. This is the type of employee I wish we had. Give Tom a raise! A+
Great resort near Epcot. The pool is the star here although there is much to embrace about the resort. Epcot is walking distance or a short boat ride away. All the amenities of Disney's Boardwalk are a simple stroll away. Variety of restaurants AND shops. Recreational activities nearby as well. Lots for the kiddies to do and the pace is yours to determine. Even some quiet time rocking on the veranda. This is a pricey upscale resort but there is a lot of value.
While I have not stayed here, the grounds are quite nice. We went to dinner at one of the restaurants here and walked around a bit. There are a lot of sandy beach areas, the Boardwalk right next door, and the hotel itself was nice. A great thing about this resort is that it is a super short walk to Epcot and it has its own entrance area as well. The hotel sits right on a body of water which makes a nice and picturesque backdrop. I would definitely look into staying here in the future and if you're looking for a good place to eat try out Ale and Compass.
