Each time we go to Universal, we end up at Mel's. It is centrally located and easy to spot when you're walking through the park. We also like the 50's diner look and feel of the restaurant. The food is good, and we particularly enjoy the chocolate milkshakes (which are similar to a Wendy's frosty). This place is definitely worth a try.

Great service! We had the pleasure of meeting Cathy, who took our order earlier today. She had a welcoming smile and an even warmer personality. More importantly, Cathy loves what she does and you can tell. It’s rare to see that these days, but when you do, you must brag! PS: We just had a milk shake, and it was great. Can’t speak for other food...

I visited Mel's Drive in diner on a Thursday in April at approximately 1pm. The park itself was not that busy, the longest wait for a ride was 90 minutes. Disappointingly you have to queue outside for the first 5 minutes or so. After placing my order I had to wait around 5 minutes for my food which I thought was pretty quick considering how busy it was.

From the outside and even when you're queuing for your food it looks small, I was worried I would find it difficult to find a seat. This did not turn out to be a problem as there is plenty of seating. It wasn't dirty inside but it wasn't clean either. It felt very dated (and I don't mean the 50's theme!) I felt the venue could do with some refurbishment to freshen it up.

The food was reasonably priced, as far as it could be, being in Universal! Not a great deal of choice but I guess that's how they get a fast turnaround. The food was nice, nothing special but not bad. The service was fast and efficient.

I had a great time at this restaurant. The service was amazing and fast. The food, though not too big in portion size, fills you up quite quickly. It is an awesome place to eat at with the vintage 50's decorum. This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Universal Studios in Orlando.

A good spot for an easy and quick meal. The fare there is simple including burgers, fries and milkshakes. The food there tastes pretty good and the building is centrally located within the park and is based of a 80’s diner. Building looks especially beautiful at night with the neon lights on.
