We ordered the Smothered Pork Chops and Fried Catfish dinners. We had white and yellow rice and chose rutabagas, mac and cheese, collards and candied sweets as sides. This food is GOOD! Naturally the catfish would be better having not traveled, but it was still hot and very flavorful. The rices were cooked perfectly and the gravy very well seasoned. My Mom is 92 and it is difficult getting her to eat. She loved everything. I will definitely order from here again and will hopefully be able to dine in as well.
Visiting from out of town and we wanted good southern food and found Nikki's on google. Decided to give it a shot and BOOM! So glad we did, the food was so delicious. I had the oxtails, yellow rice, collard green, baked beans and yams. Oh my! Oh my! Seasoned just right. Definitely will visit again when in Orlando area. Great hospitality and service.
On vacation and stopped in for the #1 Black owned restaurant in Florida. Nice small place with 8 tables and a counter that will sit 4 people. Super clean facility. Ordered the liver and onions which came with yellow rice and gravy with onions on top. The gravy was nice and thick with a lot of onions mixed in. The liver was nicely coated and tender, portions we're over double what you would get anywhere else. No knife needed for this. Also got collard greens which were so tender, no bite to them, just a smooth taste. Also had some Mac n cheese, baked old grandma style. Lots of cheese. Service was perfect. Nikki the owners daughter and name sake came out to check on us. Ordered dessert for later. Couldn't even begin to touch it, stuffed to the gills. This place is run like a restaurant should be. Nikki and her parents should be super proud of what they are doing for themselves and the community.
Nikki's is warm, friendly and welcome. We come at least twice a month after church when we want soul southern cooking. Service is GREAT. I order the veggie plate. My husband order the smothered steak with yellow rice, yams and collard greens. My granddaughter order rib tips with yellow rice, Mac & cheese and yams. We didn't need to go plates, cause we clean our plates????we each had sweet lemonade. Everybody was happy and full. Nikki's is a GREAT place to have a meal anytime.????????????????????
