Solid food, solid atmosphere and solid service!
It’s a bit hard to describe the atmosphere at Vanbarry’s, it’s part bar, part lake restaurant and part family restaurant.. but it oddly works?
There is a beautiful lake across the street and even though the restaurant isn’t right on it, it is beautiful at sunset. The food offerings are all pretty great. I had the breakfast burger and my dining companion had the pecan salad. We also started off with the pork dumplings. All tasted great and the salad portion was huge for the price. We also loved the jar of house made pickles at the table. They also have flatbreads, lots of sandwiches, etc.
Service was friendly and quick and for how busy the restaurant was, the kitchen was very quick as well! It was a bit loud with the musician, but it worked for the overall atmosphere and unless you wanted to have an in depth conversation, it wouldn’t be a bother. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying brunch soon!
One of my favorite restaurants and restaurant groups anywhere. Vanbarry’s is amazing. They have an incredible brunch with ManMosas and an equally fierce lunch/dinner menu. With live music, beautiful Florida weather and overlooking a lake, it makes for one of my favorite restaurants, EVER!!
You will not go wrong with any menu item. Have I mentioned their craft cocktail and beer menu will rival any restaurant in town? Lastly, the staff is exceptional.
P.S. the live music they recruit is nothing less than a performance you’d pay for at House of Blues or similar music venue. All things considered - this is one the best valued restaurant you’ll ever experience.
Service was great - friendly, efficient, food arrived quickly. Prices were very reasonable. Live music was a little loud though the young man man singing and playing his guitar was very talented. When he wasn't playing, the canned music was too loud. It was hard to have a conversation. My Thai salad was unremarkable - tasted like a regular salad with lots of peanuts on it. My friend said her shrimp salad was good. I would suggest a choice in the size of salads. Mine was huge. I felt bad wasting so much. Very popular place with lots of families.
Oh I love this place it's always a good time. The music is great the drinks are...interesting but not in a bad way just in a interesting way. The people there are really nice I've been here three times with different waiters same great service. The shot specials are amazing and the food is pretty big especially their burgers and savory too. They have cute indoor and outdoor seating All in all I say go you'll enjoy yourself.
Love the vibe of this place. They have live music. (Guy with a guitar) for lunch. They have various outdoor games, a partially covered patio and a fire pit. The drinks were absolutely delicious. The blood Mary was spicy and the frose (raspberry) was fantastic. The salad looked nice on top and looked big but it was mostly iceberg lettuce on the bottom. The fries were way to salty to eat. Even trying to rub the salt off with a napkin they were not edible. They put a jar of homemade pickles on the table when you arrive that are delicious. Would definitely return for drinks, but I don’t know about food. There is a lake across the street so you get somewhat of a view. The service was good, the servers might too share since we had two different girls checking on us.
