Delicious. Small-kitchen original food. Loved the Sloppy George.
It was a new dining experience for me. The sandwiches were hardy and tasty. The coleslaw, potato salad and broccoli salad were fresh and flavorful. I had pastrami and it wasn't greasy. It was good pastrami. My friend had the philly cheese steak sandwich and it was packed with meat and cheese. Also very flavorful.
Love this pace. Great food and adorable decor. Big portion of food for the price. The services by the owner was great but he has one woman working there that reminds me of the " soup Nazi" from Seinfeld episode. I wasn't bothered by it, found it comical. NO SOUP FOR YOU, NEXT.
One of the best lunch spots in Orlando. Dine inside at communal tables or outside individually -- or take-out. Fantastic quality and quantity, good specials and sides, yummy cookies for dessert. The closest to our long lost "Ronnie's" that I've found in 21st century O-town.
Had lunch here recently for the first time, and what an absolutely amazing experience it was! I had a cup of their beef & cabbage soup, and it was among the best soups I've had. The pulled pork sandwich they had as one of their specials was utterly fantastic. And the baked goods (the cookies, the banana bread, the sandwich bread itself)... just wow.
The only thing that was less than optimal was the temperature inside. While it by no means was stifling, the majority of the people in our group found it to be a bit overly warm inside. Now given, we were in there on a Friday during the peak of their lunch rush, so it may just be that the AC was having some difficulty handling the immense amounts of people coming through. But if you are the type of person that NEEDS or just expects the inside of a restaurant to be COLD, you may want to walk into George's with the understanding that it may not be as cold as you hoped.
That being said, the food was so fantastic that it made the experience more than worth the slight discomfort of being a bit warm.
